It’s one of a number of food and beverage operators due to open in the airport’s extended Terminal Two departure hall, which is undergoing a £1bn transformation.
San Carlo is to open an airside location of its small-plate Cicchetti concept, which already operates within Manchester’s Selfridges store, as well as in London’s Covent Garden and Piccadilly.
Grab-and-go Mexican concept Barburrito is also due to open a site within the terminal, as is American diner Archie’s.
Last year Barburrito announced it was entering a partnership with The Restaurant Group (TRG) in a bid to expand the chain into airports, having operated on the high street since 2005. So far it has opened sites in Edinburgh Airport and Bristol Airport.
Rugby League players Jon Wilkin and Mark Flanagan’s coffee brand Pot Kettle Black, which launched in Manchester in 2015, will also operate a site within Terminal Two.
Indian and Mexican fusion concept Wrapchic, all-day fresh juice and food bar Vit, and noodle chain Wagamama will also have a presence at Manchester Airport for the first time.
So far 15 F&B venues have been announced by the airport, with more expected to be confirmed by the time the terminal opens in 2020.
