The Kensington Park Hotel (KPH) on London’s Ladbroke Grove is to reopen next month following an extensive, two-year restoration.

Operated by the Harcourt Inns group and recognised ‘as being one of London’s oldest live music venues’, the new KPH will feature a ground floor pub and a first-floor dining room.

The Parisian-inspired menu will be overseen group chef-director Henry Harris, who has appointed former St. John sous chef Ruairidh Summers to oversee the kitchen.

Dishes will combine influences from the Montreal food scene with more traditional French flavours, with Summers ‘championing unusual cuts of meat’ including offal.

The KPH describes its drinks list as being ‘as considered as the food’, and will feature 12 draft beers, three cask ales, a selection of old-world wines and cocktails.

Originally established in the 1860s, The KPH’s restoration has been overseen by interior designer Liana Braune and her design firm Zaffera.London, with the design including light fittings ‘true to the age of the building’. Said to be The Clash’s Mick Jones ‘favourite local’, The KPH is also believed to be where Tom Jones’ first gig took place.

Launched in 2017, Harcourt Inns’ portfolio also includes The Harcourt in Marylebone, The Coach in Clerkenwell, and The Crown in Chiswick.
