The Goring hotel names new executive chef
Galli has been head chef at the property's Michelin-starred Dining Room since July 2017, and will now take full responsibility for the restaurant.
“It is like winning the lottery when the best candidate is already an important member of the team,” says David Morgan-Hewitt, managing director of The Goring.
“We were delighted that so many prominent chefs expressed an interest in the role here at The Goring, but we knew the right man was already on the pass.”
Galli's appointment comes amid a period of change for The Goring. Former executive chef Shay Cooper left the hotel in January after five years, while chef Nathan Outlaw opened seafood restaurant Siren at the property earlier this month.
The Goring Bar is also being relaunched with a drinks menu focused on British spirits and herbs from the hotel’s own garden, as well as a selection of small plates such as The Goring club sandwich.
