Chef Tom Kerridge is to open his first Manchester restaurant at GG Hospitality's upcoming Stock Exchange Hotel in the city.

Kerridge, whose Marlow restaurant The Hand and Flowers holds two Michelin stars, says he plans to “bring a bit of Marlow up to Manchester” when the project opens in the final quarter of the year.

The chef will oversee the on-site restaurant, as well as the wider food and beverage at the 40-room, boutique hotel.

Chef Michael O’Hare was previously lined up to oversee the restaurant at the property until he parted way with GG Hospitality in 2018.

Kerridge says: “This is a really exciting opening for us. The hotel is going to be stunning and we’re very happy to be working with GG Hospitality. We can’t say much at this stage, but…we are very much looking forward to being a part of the city and joining the exciting and vibrant Manchester food scene."

The Stock Exchange will be the second hotel project for the chef, who also oversees Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at The Corinthia Hotel in London as well as Marlow pubs The Butcher’s Tap and The Coach.

“We are looking forward to opening the Stock Exchange Hotel and will be releasing all of the details in the coming weeks,” says GG Hospitality CEO Winston Zahra.

“We are especially happy to have partnered up with Tom on the food and beverage side of the hotel and are very much looking forward to working with Tom and his team in Manchester."

GG Hospitality was launched by former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs in 2013, and its portfolio also includes Hotel Football in Manchester.
