Vinoteca to open its first regional site

Located at the front of Two Chamberlain Square, the wine bar and restaurant will occupy a 3,390 sq ft space and is due to open early next year.

Founded in 2005 and inspired by the wine bars of Spain and Italy, Vincoteca currently operates five locations across central London in locations including Marylebone and King’s Cross. Last year it was forced to close its site on Beak Street in Soho due to licensing restrictions.

The food menu will include British and European dishes and a regularly changing selection of specials (like the rest of the group, Vinoteca Birmingham will have its own menu overseen by a named chef). Diners will be able to choose from a wine list of 200 bins, 25 of which will be available by the glass.

“The company’s choice to launch in Birmingham for its first operation outside of London underlines the huge potential for retail and leisure occupiers at Paradise,” says Vinoteca co-founder Charlie Young.
