BV Restaurant Group has launched its first restaurant and gaming hall concept in London.

The company, headed by former YO! Sushi operations director Paul Reynolds, has transformed its former PizzaStorm site in Wandsworth in to Rebound following a £250,000 investment.

The 6,000 sq ft site opened on 12 March and features four shuffleboards, two foosball tables and a pool table. It serves pizza, pasta and weekend brunch alongside wines and beers.

BV Restaurant Group also operates two other PizzaStorm sites in Newcastle and Nottingham.

“With the launch of Rebound, we have worked meticulously to develop an offer that is authentic and does not just copy what the rest of the market is doing,” says Reynolds.

“We want to make sure we get this concept right and then Rebound should have a very exciting future.”

The launch of Rebound follows a rise in popularity of the “competitive socialising” category, which combines games with a food and drink offer, in recent years.

Key players include Social Entertainment Ventures, which owns darts concept Flight Club, ping pong-focused Bounce and Puttshack crazy golf.

Last year Flight Club secured £15m growth funding towards its expansion. The company also hopes to launch a shuffleboard concept, called Electric Shuffle, this year, with a site near London Bridge believed to be under consideration, according to BigHospitality’s sister site MCA.
