We round-up who's been taking on new roles in the hospitality industry this month.

Brian Hughson

Brian Hughson (pictured) is the new head chef at D&D London's 20 Stories restaurant in Manchester. He has joined following the departure of fellow Liverpudlian Aiden Byrne, who stepped down as chef director in November to relaunch Manchester House. An announcement from the restaurant says the appointment of Hughson, who cooked under Gordon Ramsay at The Savoy Grill and at The Belevedere with Marco Pierre White, will see "significant changes" at 20 Stories in 2019.

Andy McCue

Andy McCue, the chief executive of The Restaurant Group (TRG), has announced his decision to leave the company. He is stepping down due to "extenuating personal circumstances", and is expected to remain in the role while a successor is being recruited. McCue joined TRG as chief executive in 2016 and oversaw the company's controversial acquisition of the Wagamama chain for £559m last year. 

Hotel Cafe Royal

Chef Armand Sablon has left London's Hotel Cafe Royal after six and a half years. Sablon, who won the 2007 Roux Scholarship, departed on 18 February and has yet to confirm his future plans. Marcus Klumb has replaced his as executive chef. Klumb began his career at Helene Darroze at The Connaught in 2007, and worked as executive sous chef at Four Seasons Ten Trinity Square ahead of its opening in 2017.

Martin Siska

The Rosewood London hotel has appointed Martin Siska as its new director of bars. Originally from Slovakia, he moved to London 12 years ago and has worked at D&D's Le Pont de la Tour, Hush in Mayfair and The Donovan Bar at Brown's Hotel. His new role will see him manage both Scarfes Bar and the Mirror Room's Champagne Bar, as well as consulting on The Gin Bar at Holborn Dining Room. 

Richard Collingwood

The four-star Thornton Hall Hotel in Wirral has named Richard Collingwood as its new head chef. He was most recently head chef at The Cottage in The Wood, Cumbria, which holds three AA rosettes. He will oversee the hotel's fine dining restaurant, The Lawns, which offers both a la carte and tasting menus.

Marco Ardemagni

Marco Ardemagni has been appointed head chef at The Langley hotel in Buckinghamshire, which opens in May. The historic mansion house has undergone a five-year restoration and will relaunch as a 41-room luxury hotel. Ardemagni, who previously cooked at London's Sushisamba, will oversee a team of up to 50 chefs working across its all-day restaurant - Cedar - the Churchill Bar, afternoon tea room and Spa Lounge.
