Fera at Claridge's to close at the end of the year
Fera, which launched in May 2014 under the stewardship of chef Simon Rogan, will close after its dinner service on 31 December.
A replacement for the restaurant is yet to be announced, with the hotel saying that it will announce future plans for the space in the New Year.
A number of sources have told BigHospitality that the restaurant space will be taken on by the team behind New York establishment Eleven Madison Park, named the Best Restaurant in the World in 2017, but this has not been confirmed by the hotel.
Rogan departed the restaurant by mutual agreement in April last year, handing over the reins in the kitchen to the restaurant’s head chef Matt Starling.
Fera, which means ‘wild’ in Latin, was awarded a star in in the Michelin Guide UK 2015 having only been open for a few months. It was also named Best New Restaurant (Taste) at the 2015 Tatler awards.
Fera replaced Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's, which held its last service on 30 June 2013 after having been open for 12 years at the five-star hotel.
