The team behind London restaurants Jolene, Primeur and Westerns Laundry are planning an opening in Cornwall next year.

Co-founder Jeremie Cometto-Lingenheim has posted across the group’s Instagram accounts advertising a vacancy for a general manager for an opening near Par, on the south Cornish coast.

Further details are yet to be confirmed but Jack Sorrell, head chef of London’s Primeur, looks to be making the move to Cornwall for the launch.

Cometto-Lingenheim writes: “Summer 2019 sees us opening a little place by the blue waters of the South Cornish Coast. We’ll be looking to recruit a general manager for our coastal outpost to work with head chef Jack Sorrell of [Primeur].

“If the prospect of relocating somewhere beautiful while involved in a meaningful food story and if you have the experience of managing a place at senior level then do get in touch in the next few months.”

Cometto-Lingenheim and his business partner chef David Gingell met while working at the Wright Brothers group and launched small plates restaurants Primeur in 2014 and Westerns Laundry in 2017, both of which hold Michelin Bib Gourmands.

The team’s latest project, bakery and restaurant Jolene, opened in Newington Green in October.

All three sites have a focus on sustainability and no fixed menus. Dishes are chalked up on a blackboard each day, which the team then photographs for Instagram.
