Clockjack, the rotisserie chicken restaurant turned delivery-only concept, has been liquidated.

The Jerry Goldberg-led concept previously had London restaurants in Botolph Alley, Monument; Denman Street, Soho; and Powis Street, Woolwich.

Goldberg shifted the brand towards a delivery-only model, blaming the departure from Soho on “shocking rent increases”.

He told BigHospitality's sister site MCA last year he was looking to grow the business with a series of strategically places production kitchens.

Two businesses, Clockjack Deliveries Ltd and Clockjack Investments Ltd, went into liquidation earlier this year, with Hudson Wier handling the process.

Goldberg remains a director of The Ripe Banana Co, a desert brand which was offered in combination with Clockjack for delivery, and is still available on Uber Eats.

He is also a director of Figaro Partners, a leisure consultancy, which he runs with Martin Robinson, a non-executive director of Casual Dining Group, and a former chairman of Wagamama.

Goldberg has previously held roles at Center Parcs and LA Fitness.
