Grillstock barbecue group shuts down
The company’s restaurants in Leicester and Bristol have closed and its overall website has been taken down.
A spokesperson for Leonard Curtis Recovery confirmed Grillstock has ceased to trade, and it was engaged by the company last week.
A statement on the Grillstock Leicester Facebook page says: “We are sorry to have to say this but Grillstock, as of today, has ceased trading.
“Thank you to everyone that has stuck with us through, what has been, a very tough year.”
Grillstock started out as a festival in Bristol before opening its first permanent restaurant in the city in 2013.
The troubled company was placed in to administration in November 2017 before being bought back by some of its former directors, with the closure of its only London site.
Its Bath restaurant also shut in February this year, and Grillstock cancelled its annual barbecue and music festival in May, with organisers claiming they had run out of time to “deliver the operational elements of the event”.
