We round-up some of the top hospitality stories you might have missed this week.

- Michelin dominated the headlines this week, with the guide announcing its new stars for Britain and Ireland on Monday. There were 21 new one-star restaurants. In London Core by Clare Smyth and Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs won two stars, alongside Mark Birchall's Moor Hall in Aughton.

- The new edition of the red book also brought bad news for some, with 18 restaurants losing stars. Marcus Wareing's restaurant at the Berkeley Hotel was downgraded to one star, alongside Le Champignon Sauvage in Gloucestershire.

- Dandelyan at London's Mondrian hotel has topped the list of the World's 50 Best Bars, days after it announced its plans to close. Creator Ryan Chetiyawardena is planning to shut the bar and start a new concept from scratch in its place.

- Restaurants will be legally barred from deducting money from staff tips under plans announced by the government. Details of the legislation are yet to be confirmed, but trade body UKHospitality warns the move will place an "unnecessary burden" on businesses.

- Jamie's Italian expects to complete the terms of its Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) and finish paying its creditors this month. In its most recent accounts the group, which has shut 11 sites since January, says it has used a "significant amount" of consumer research and feedback to shape a new menu, service and "experience" for customers.
