Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant group to launch three-storey St James's flagship
The restaurant is expected to open in November, and has secured a site at 10 Waterloo Place in London's St James's
The Grade-II listed property it has taken dates back to 1910, and forms part of the new Waterloo Place scheme, which when complete will comprise 23,000sq ft of office space alongside the restaurant.
Imperial Treasure secured the space through Barings Real Estate Advisers, and will be taking the mezzanine, ground and basement floors of the property on a 25-year lease.
“We are very excited to be opening our London restaurant in Waterloo Place, St James’s,” says Alfred Leung, founder and CEO of Imperial Treasure.
“We were searching for a location and size that reflects our brand and aspiration. When we identified this world class opportunity, we were very pleased to work with Barings Real Estate Advisers to introduce the very fine Chinese cuisine of Imperial Treasure to London’s residents and visitors.”
The 23-strong Imperial Treasure restaurant group operates several Michelin-starred restaurants across Singapore, Hong Kong and China, including two-starred Yu Bau Xuan in Shanghai; and one-starred Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine One Peking.
It has been voted among the best 50 restaurants in Asia, and is known for offering a wide variety of high-end Chinese cuisine across different styles of the countries culinary repertoire.
The group’s website has a location tab for a restaurant set to launch in France in 2019, although no further details have been released on the project.
