Cecconi's fourth London restaurant to launch in Shoreditch next month

Soho House-owned Italian restaurant brand Cecconi’s is expanding, and will open its fourth London site at Redchurch Townhouse next month.

Set to launch on Whitby Street next month, the Townhouse will be the latest addition to the Soho House collection.

It will comprise a 16-bedroom boutique hotel on the first to fourth floors, and the ground floor will be taken by Cecconi’s. The restaurant will be open to members, residents and the public, just like its Mayfair, Soho and City sites are.

The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, and has submitted an application to Tower Hamlets council for an alcohol license to run from 8am, allowing for light alcoholic breakfast drinks such as Bucks Fizz to be served.

Last month saw Cecconi’s launch its first ‘lite’ restaurant, on the former site of Soho Kitchen & Bar. Cecconi’s Pizza Bar serves pizzas, pizzettes, a small selection of pasta dishes, and some sides such as zucchini fritti.

Cecconi’s proper was founded by Enzo Cecconi and opened in Mayfair in 1978. It serves an upmarket Italian menu with starts such as burrata; calamari; and octopus priced at around £15, and mains such as whole sea bass with roasted endive; rib eye and new potatoes; and rack of lamb; priced at around £30.  

Soho House owns and operates several different food and beverage operations including the Chicken Shop brand; The Dirty Burger brand; the Pizza East brand and independent restaurants such as Cecconi’s; Café Monico; Café Boheme; Molly’s; Dean Street Townhouse; Barber and Parlour; and Electric Brasserie.
