The founders of raw vegan food company Raw Imagination will launch a vegan restaurant in Shoreditch this autumn.

Launching in a two-storey site on Commercial Street in September, Genesis will offer a range of international street food dishes made with organic ingredients.

The menu will comprise sharing plates; salads; tacos; burgers; and hot dogs made from fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

Large dishes will include aloo tikka chaat; Tel Aviv cauliflower with tahini, almonds and cranberries; Israeli shawarma with salad, chilli, pickles, garlic sauce, tahini and sumac; Malaysian char kway teow, with brown rice noodles, stir fried vegetables and black bean sauce; spicy laksa soup; mac and cheese; and tacos with fillings including avocado, jackfruit, pico de gallo and beans.

The menu will also offer a variety of hot dogs and burgers including the American Woman burger with coleslaw, barbecue sauce, onion rings and jalapenos; the banh mi hot dog; the Bombay hot dog; and the New York hot dog.

Accompanying salads and sides will include the likes of kale Caesar salad; Thai papaya and mango salad; yucca fries; French fries; kimchi and coleslaw.

Healthy drinks such as kombucha and cold-pressed juices will be available, alongside cocktails, beers and wines, and cold brew coffee.

Founded by siblings Alex and Oliver Santoro, Genesis is the second joint venture for the brothers, who founded raw vegan grab and go food company Raw Imagination in 2013.

The brothers launched the company shortly after becoming vegan, and its raw food sandwiches and cakes were stocked in health food shops including Planet Organic. The company was dissolved on 10 October last year.
