BigHospitality's sister site MCA reports that while the Strada name will remain a part of the branding, more emphasis will be placed on the locations of three of the remaining restaurants in Royal Festival Hall, St. Katharine Docks and More London – which will be known as Southbank, Dockside and Riverside.
Design changes as part of the rebrand will include the creation of more relaxed lounge areas, while the menus will be updated to cater for all dayparts.
Group chief execuitve, Sue Walter said: “These three restaurants are performing incredibly strongly, despite the competitive market, and this new investment demonstrates our commitment to this much loved brand.
"We are adapting our spaces to meet the changing way in which people socialise. The Strada restaurants at Royal Festival Hall, More London and St. Katharine Docks enjoy some of the most beautiful and iconic views in London. We want people to experience these settings throughout the day, whether having a break over coffee, watching the sunset over evening cocktails or enjoying a taste of fresh, authentic Italian food.”
Strada closed 11 of its then-26 sites at the end of 2017, blaming "an increasingly competitive market".
The locations were either sold off or converted to the Coppa Club and 31 Below brands, which are also operated by Various Eateries.
There are currently 11 remaining Strada restaurants listed on the company website.
