In case you missed it... the 2018 Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards

The annual National Restaurant Awards, held at the Hurlingham Club in Putney earlier this month, saw an eclectic list of high-end restaurants rubbing shoulders with more affordable ones.

Now in their 11th year, the annual awards are voted for by top chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, critics and other food experts and gastronomes from across the UK. This year saw Ben Chapman's Thai restaurant Kiln named the UK’s best restaurant, followed by recently opened Spanish restaurant Sabor in Mayfair, which was the highest new entry. Third place was occupied by Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant A Wong, with Core by Clare Smyth right behind in fourth place. Smyth's restaurant also snapped up the Service Award for its front of house excellence.
