Renowned Brighton restaurant The Chilli Pickle is to open a second location having secured the former Jackson & Rye site in Guildford, Surrey. The owners have partnered with Imagine Capital, a boutique investment and advisory firm, that will inject funds into an expansion of the brand over the next few years.
Sky News has reported that Côte is reevaluating its Limeyard and Jackson + Rye spin-off brands. The group, which is owned by private equity rm BC Partners, says it has no plans to close any sites under its core brand, although a couple of locations have already closed this year.
The Cinnamon Collection has closed its Cinnamon Soho after six years of trading. The restaurant was chef director Vivek Singh’s first foray into casual territory following the success of The Cinnamon Club in Westminster and Cinnamon Kitchen in The City. The restaurant announced the closure on its website.
Pike & Pine chef Matt Gillan is to launch a new casual dining concept called Electro Pirate at the Foresters Arms in Horsham, West Sussex. The chef will keep his head chef roles at Pike & Pine and The Roastery.
