Shake Shack among first wave of Boxpark Wembley vendors

Boxpark Wembley has announced a first wave of vendors set to launch in the space when it opens later this year, including two brands imported from the US.

The company says that US burger chain Shake Shack will fill one of the units in the 20,000sq ft site, alongside a second US import, Texas-born Wingstop. Other confirmed vendors include Soho dumpling restaurant Ugly Dumpling; chips and cheese operator Poptata; and The Athenian Greek restaurant.

Boxpark has now secured 18 of the 24 independent food and beverage operators at the site, with more to be announced in the run up to the launch.

Opening later this year, Boxpark Wembley will be the third iteration of the pop-up mall concept, and is set to be bigger than both its Shoreditch and Croydon sister outposts. It will also be the first in the group to be fully indoors.

“I’m delighted to announce the new vendors coming to Boxpark Wembley,” says Roger Wade, Boxpark founder.

“There’s a real mix of food offerings that we think both locals and visitors will enjoy – we’re excited to have them as part of the Boxpark family.”

Boxpark Wembley’s launch will coincide with a period of redevelopment in the area, with 7,500 new homes scheduled to be built as well as a large office development to attract businesses to the area.

The first Boxpark opened in Shoreditch in 2010 and Boxpark Croydon followed in October 2016.
