Crussh to expand in to transport hubs with SSP

Crussh, the healthy food and juice chain, is the latest group to announce its intention to expand off the high street in to travel hubs.

The 30-strong brand has entered in to a franchise partnership with SSP that will see it move in to railway and airport locations in the UK and Europe over the next few years.

Its first site is due to launch in May at London Paddington station, and a pipeline of additional openings are under discussion.

Crussh’s menu ranges from beef and venison hot pots to green smoothies and poke ‘healthpots’. The new sites will serve the same health-focused offering.

“We are hugely excited about working with SSP given their expertise and excellent track record and the opportunity to bring our brand of healthy fit food-to-go into travel rail and air locations for the first time,” says Crussh CEO Shane Kavanagh.

“Paddington is the perfect place to start, and we can’t wait to get going.”

Crussh was founded in London in 1998 and claims to be London’s original juice, smoothie and ‘healthy’ fast food retailer.

An increasing number of food and drink operators are looking to expand away from the high street in the face of rising business rates and rents.

Hip London coffee chain Grind has also signed a deal with SSP to move in to travel hubs over the next year, while Spuntino, BrewDog, and Barburrito are are planning expansion in to transport locations.
