Located on the 12th floor of the hotel, the 400-cover bar, Savage Garden, will comprise a feature bar, cocktail lounge, dining area and private hire space.
Designed by Grapes Design, the interiors team behind Dirty Martini and The Dorchester, interiors will feature a graffiti mural, velvet and marble floors. A retractable roof over the north terrace of the venue will allow the space to be used for pop-ups and events in both summer and winter.
The food offering will be created by executive chef Damien Chorley, who takes his experience from executive chef roles at The Langham Shenzhen in China, The Marriott in Dubai and St. Martin’s Lane Hotel in Covent Garden.
Options will include both small plates and ‘feasting’ sharing dishes, including charred pork tomahawk steal with black pudding fries; beef sliders in charcoal buns; coconut beef short ribs; chargrilled lemon and thyme poussin; tempura oysters with fermented black garlic mayo; black sesame prawn toast with bacon jam; and ‘inject your own’ doughnuts.
“I had a vision of creating a wild and escapist bar that tears up the rulebook. A bar that surprises and delights,” says DoubleTree’s Shahin Esmail.
“Yes, we will have incredible vistas out over London, but Savage Garden will be so much more than just the view, it will be an intriguing and engaging experience, from start to finish.”
