Seb Holmes' new Thai concept amongst first wave of announced Market Halls vendors
Pitt Cue Co. restaurateur Simon Anderson and property, leisure and retail investor Andy Lewis Pratt have confirmed the first wave of operators for the upcoming Fulham Market Halls project.

The first set of vendors will include a new concept Thai concept from Farang chef Seb Holmes and Dan Turner. Holmes, who has previously headed up the kitchen at both Smoking Goat and Begging Bowl, will be cooking some of the popular dishes from Farang as well as some new and unseen dishes exclusive to Fulham.

Ex-Club Garcon chef Claude Compton, who owns nearby Claude’s Kitchen and amuse bouche, is extending his offering to open an all-day restaurant, ‘Claude’s Deli’, in the development. The menu will champion British produce, and will serve bread; pastries; charcuterie; salad bowls; sandwiches; soups; and tartines.

Pizza restaurant Yard Sale has chosen Fulham Market Halls as the location to open its sixth site. Its double fermented dough earned the brand the ‘Most Loved Restaurant award in the Time Out Love London Awards.

Coffee company Press Coffee will be opening its third site in the Market Halls, following openings in Fleet Street and central London. The team sources and roasts beans from over 15 countries which it serves alongside a selection of loose leaf teas; smoothies; and soft drinks.

“We’re very excited to bring the Fulham Broadway ticket hall back to life, and I think we’ve created something new and unique for Fulham and London,” says co-founder Anderson.

“We’ve studied the local area and pulled together a varied roster of traders, from local favourites to street food stars that we hope will please everyone. All of this under one roof alongside a bar selling the best British craft beers and spirits, open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Occupying the former ticket hall of the Edwardian Underground station in Fulham Broadway, the market will comprise 10 kitchens, a bar and 180-cover seating.

The final wave of vendors will be released next month.

Two more Market Halls are set to open in summer and autumn, turning more unused public spaces with “architectural or historic interest” into food halls.

The next opening, in summer 2018, will be in the arcaded bays opposite Victoria station on the site of former superclub Pacha. The 300-cover site will span three storeys, and will open with 14 kitchens and three bars.

The last confirmed market opening will be in the West End, in the former BHS building near Oxford Circus. It is billed as being the largest food hall in the UK, and will house a host of local producers, retailers, restaurants and street food vendors as well as four bars, a demo kitchen and space for event
