The Pergola Group to reopen The Prince with new trader line-up

The Prince, a restaurant and bar pop up from the team behind Pergola on the Roof, will re-open for the summer next month with a new line-up of food traders.

The 600-cover Earls Court venue will reopen on 12 April following a brief refit, when two new operators will move in to the space to replace farm-to-table restaurant Rabbit and Vietnamese barbecue restaurant MAM.

The new line-up will see fried chicken specialist Coqfighter and Foley’s Bao and Yakitori Grill join the two existing traders, Thai restaurant The Begging Bowl and burger specialist Patty & Bun.

The Prince, formerly the Prince of Wales pub, is located on Brompton Crossing and connects to four neighbouring buildings which house two bars and four restaurants.

Previously, the back area of the site comprised a ‘woodland space’ connecting the bar and restaurants, with heating and private cabins.

The reopening will see the outdoor area replaced with an ‘English garden’, featuring retractable roofs.

Open seven days a week, the relaunched Prince will form part of the Earls Court Masterplan, consented in 2013.

The Masterplan, designed by Sir Terry Farrell, will deliver 10,000 new jobs and a new high street, as well as creating four new ‘urban villages’.

The Pergola Group is an offshoot of Incipio Group, a company specialising in taking unused or temporarily dormant spaces and turning them into lifestyle concepts.

Among the group’s portfolio is Pergola Paddington Central; Hammersmith-based Feast Canteen; and the now-closed Pergola on the Roof in White City.
