Deliciously Ella closes two restaurants to focus on largest site

Wellness blogger and entrepreneur Eleanor Mills has announced that she is closing two of her delis to focus on her business’ largest site.

In an Instagram post, Mills wrote that The Kitchen Counter in Herne Hill, and the MaE Deli in Marylebone are shutting down so that the company can focus on the MaE Deli Weighhouse Street, which is also in Marylebone.

“Tomorrow we’re going to be saying goodbye to our deli at Seymour Place and Herne Hill. Seymour was Matt and my first venture together and we learnt more opening that site than we ever thought possible. It’s been a huge piece of our journey, and it’s filled with many great memories,” says Mills.

“We’re really going to miss Seymour Place and Herne Hill and both will always have such a special place in the Deliciously Ella journey, but we’re excited for all of the things to come at Weighhouse Street, and look forward to seeing you there soon.”

Typical dishes at MaE Deli include porridge bowls, fresh smoothies, and options such as sweetcorn fritters with baked beans and smashed avocado; plant-based salads; rye sandwiches; cakes; and the Deliciously Ella branded energy balls.

Mills  - who runs the business with husband Matt - gained a large social media following through her blog, Deliciously Ella, in 2012. The pair have since launched a catering service, a range of healthy snacks stocked in supermarkets and two bestselling cookbooks.
