The 120-cover restaurant will open on London’s Brompton Road at the end of March with an internationally inspired food and drink menu specially designed for the London launch.
Caramel London will open for breakfast through to dinner with dishes on its signature menu set to feature TNT shrimp; beef sliders; and lobster tempura as well as Chinese chicken salad; and honey and pecorino ravioli. Breakfast dishes will include chicken sweet potato hash.
The first Caramel restaurant opened in Dubai and the group has since expanded to countries in the Middle East, including Muscat, Oman and Abu Dhabi. The London restaurant will be its fourth under the Caramel brand.
The company also operates restaurants Mo’s, Moorish and The Indus in Dubai, Oman and Muscat respectively.
“The Caramel restaurant and lounge concept has proved overwhelmingly popular internationally and I’m confident that the stylish and upmarket brand will fit in very well in Knightsbridge,” says founder and owner of Caramel Group, Mohammed Al Hashimi,
“Each individual site is unique and we tailor them to the locations that each of the restaurant lounges is situated in. At the London site, for example, we’ve added in an afternoon tea to our offering.”
Caramel London joins another Middle Eastern operator, Ab Del Wahab, in coming to the capital. The Lebanese restaurant group, which also has sites in Dubai and across the Middle East, opened its debut UK restaurant in Belgravia earlier this month.
