Ollie Dabbous and Hedonism Wines to open Hide in April
The chef has teamed up with Hedonism Wines to open the three-story site at 85 Piccadilly, overlooking Green Park.
It comes after Dabbous closed his London restaurants Barnyard and Michelin-starred Dabbous in 2017 to focus on the project.
Hide will be split in to three areas and open seven days a week, from 7.30am to 1am.
“Ground” will offer an a la carte lunch and dinner menu, as well as afternoon tea and breakfast, with a bakery serving freshly baked breads and cakes.
Diners can enjoy a tasting menu and set lunch at “Above”, while the bar “Below” will serve a selection of Hedonism Wines' spirits and a cocktail menu created by Dabbous’ business partner Oskar Kinberg.
Yevgeny Chichvarkin of Hedonism Wines says the collaboration was a “natural progression” born out of a shared love of food and wine.
“It's great to be teaming up with another independent company to create something heartfelt to us and unique to the neighbourhood,” he says.
Hide will also feature private dining rooms for groups of up to 20, offering restaurant dishes or feasting menus based on the "best of British produce".
"Yevgeny was one of our regulars at Dabbous and even did a day in the kitchen, so it's been a fun collaboration,” says Dabbous.
“I am also excited to finally get a walk-in fridge! People were surprised that I closed Dabbous, but I hope once we open Hide, they will soon understand why that decision was taken."
Dabbous also oversees the menu at the Henrietta restaurant at the hotel of the same name in Covent Garden.
