Tom Kerridge to open restaurant at The Corinthia Hotel London

Chef Tom Kerridge is to open his first London restaurant this year, at the five-star Corinthia Hotel London.

The currently unnamed project will be a relaxed British brasserie-style dining room, bringing a taste of the chef’s two-Michelin-starred Marlow pub The Hand and Flowers to the capital.

It will open in the site currently occupied by the Massimo restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, with a separate entrance off Northumberland Avenue.

The launch will be the first site in the capital for the chef, whose plans to open a restaurant at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge fell through late last year.

“We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to bring a bit of what we are doing in Marlow to London,” says Kerridge.

“Corinthia Hotel London is one of London’s most prestigious hotels, and we are looking forward to doing what we do best – quality British cooking that is modern and exciting. We will be taking inspiration from our Michelin-starred pub The Coach, and The Butcher’s Tap, as well as our first venture, the two-Michelin-starred The Hand and Flowers.”

The restaurant will open later this year following a redesign of the restaurant space by David Collins Studio.

“When we met Tom, we knew he was the perfect partner to open a restaurant together,” says Thomas Kochs, manging director of Corinthia Hotel London.

“We admire his approach to food, restaurants and his spirit of hospitality. I am confident that together we will create an incredible dining experience.”
