Sticks'n'Sushi to move into Nova Victoria this month
Danish sushi restaurant Sticks’n’Sushi will join the line-up of restaurants at Victoria’s Nova development this month.

The restaurant, designed by Shanghai design house Neri & Hu, will open in a large, two-storey site in Sir Simon Milton Square on 8 December.

It will join the likes of Ole + Steen, Ahi Poke, Bone Daddies, Aster and Hai Cenato in the vast new development.

It will be the fifth restaurant in the capital and the seventh in the UK for the brand, which is known for its sushi and grilled yakitori skewers.

The menu will be similar to the brand’s other restaurants, serving nigiri; maki; meat and fish yakitori skewers; greens and salads; chirashi bowls; and larger options such as Wagyu beef tartare or Hamachi collar with sea salt, lemon and rice.

The open plan dining areas of the restaurant will feature walnut wood and leather seating by Stellar Works, with a 16-cover private dining room available for private hire.

“For thousands of people every day, whether coming from near or very far, Victoria is their gateway to London - a city we have come to love as much as our home city of Copenhagen,” says Andreas Karlsson, the group’s COO.

“We would be happy to think that before they start discovering London, they will first stop here for a taste of Tokyo, via Copenhagen - experiencing the world without even leaving SW1"

Sticks’n’Sushi’s first London restaurant opened in Wimbledon in 2012 and has since been joined by sites in Covent Garden, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, and the upcoming Victoria site. Outside London, the brand operates in Cambridge and Oxford.

Nova has been described as the most significant development in Land Securities’ regeneration of Victoria. The five-building complex will include 170 apartments, office space, restaurants, bars and retail.
