By Chloe announces flagship opening date, as it secures second site

US vegan fast food chain By Chloe will open two restaurants in London next year.

The burgeoning healthy eating restaurant chain, which has announced it will launch its UK flagship in Covent Garden in January 2018, will open a second site at new development One Tower Bridge.

The Covent Garden site will open just off the market’s piazza at Drury House, 34-43 Russell Street, kicking off the brand’s UK expansion programme.

The One Tower bridge restaurant will open later in the year and will join The Ivy Tower Bridge, The Coal Shed, Welsh fine dining restaurant Tom Simmons, Rosa’s Thai Café,  Brazilian sushi brand Temakihno and Gunpowder Market Market.

Other restaurants believed to be going into the new development include Prosecco House and creperie La Petite Bretagne.

The group is among a number of meat-free brands expanding in the UK. Thai-inspired Cook Daily has doubled the size of its flagship Shoreditch site as well as opening a Croydon location, and vegan burger pop-up The Vurger Co recently exceeded its crowdfunding target of £180,000 by 66% for its first bricks and-mortar restaurant.

By Chloe was founded by Chloe Coscarelli and Samantha Wasser in July 2015.

The brand is working with UK-based consultancy group TGP - the same group which helped Dominique Ansel launch in the UK - on its expansion both in the UK and in the Middle East.

The company recently secured $13m to fund its expansion.
