The group, which was founded by Rainer Becker, and which operates a number of hugely successful restaurants around the world, including Zuma in Knightsbridge, is believed to have secured a site at 55 Broadwick Street for the new concept, called Inko Nito.
In keeping with the Zuma approach, the restaurant will be a casual robata restaurant, with an open kitchen where diners will see food people prepared over charcoal.
London won’t be the first city, however, to get the Inko Nito concept, with plans for the debut restaurant to open in the Arts District in Los Angeles, as reported by Eater LA.
Zuma was founded in Knightsbridge, London in 2002 by Becker. Zuma Hong Kong followed in 2007 and was soon joined by locations in Istanbul, Dubai, Miami, Bangkok and Abu Dhabi.
Zuma New York opened in 2014, Zuma Rome in 2016, and Las Vegas in January 2017.
The restaurant group, which also operates four sites under the Roka name across London, is thought to be in talks on opening a further Roka site in Chelsea.
The London site has been let by Davis Coffer Lyons and Hanover Green as joint agents on behalf of the estate landlord, Shaftesbury.
