Spurs sign Chris Galvin for new stadium

Chris Galvin has joined the chef line-up at Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium, launching in 2018.

‘Lifelong fan’ Galvin will design the menu and oversee service at its On Four lounges and suites during a series of matches next season as part a deal with Levy Restaurants UK.

It follows the announcement in May that Albert Roux, his son Michel Roux Jr and granddaughter Emily Roux will be taking turns to run service at the lounge for 12 matches a season.

Further ‘internationally acclaimed’ chef partners are to be announced in the next few months ahead of the stadium’s opening next year.

“This is my first partnership with a sporting venue and I can’t wait for the challenge,” says Galvin, who runs Michelin-starred London restaurants Galvin at Windows and La Chapelle, with his brother Jeff.

“I am a lifelong fan and my family grew up close to Tottenham and know the area well so from a personal point of view it’s great to be part of a project that is transforming the local area as well as redefining the visitor experience in football.”

The stadium’s flagship restaurant, The H Club, will sit on the halfway line of the field and offer fine dining, ‘brasserie-style’ menus and bar food. Guests will have the chance to dine at a chef’s table, or at a Player’s Table alongside former Spurs stars.

Members will also be able to store their favourite wines, cognacs and liquors in a glass display vault throughout the season.

The 61,559-seat stadium will be London’s largest capacity football club ground when it opens next year.
