Pergola Group adds The Prince pop-up to its west London portfolio
The former Prince of Wales pub on Brompton Crossing will be connected to the four disused buildings next to it, which will house two bars and four restaurants.
It will launch on 15 November.
Burger restaurant Patty & Bun will be moving into one of the disused spaces, as will Vietnamese barbecue restaurant MAM, Thai restaurant The Begging Bowl, and Rabbit - a Chelsea-based restaurant focusing on farm-to-table food.
The site of the former pub will be converted into a 600-cover double-level bar. Décor will be minimalist, with timber and exposed brickwork.
The restaurants will share a ‘woodland space’ garden area at the back of the site, with heating and private cabins. They will also be connected by a shared walkway.
The new space will be open seven days a week and will be a part of the Earls Court Masterplan, consented in 2013. The Masterplan, designed by Sir Terry Farrell, will deliver 10,000 new jobs and a new high street, as well as creating four new ‘urban villages’.
The Pergola Group is an offshoot of Incipio Group, a company specialising in taking unused or temporarily dormant spaces and turning them into lifestyle concepts.
Among the group’s portfolio is Pergola Paddington Central and the now-closed Pergola on the Roof in White City.
It is also due to launch Hammersmith-based Feast Canteen in January next year, with restaurants including pizza player Born & Raised, Breddos, Patty & Bun and Salvation in Noodles.
