Michelin awards Bib Gourmands to 27 restaurants

The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2018 has awarded Bib Gourmands to 27 restaurants including Adam Handling's the Frog E1 and the Galvin brothers' Galvin Green Man. The new starred restaurants for 2018 will be announced on Monday (2 October).

Tom Kerridge to launch pub and butchery in Marlow

The two-star pub chef is teaming up with brewer and pub operator Greene King to launch The Butcher's Tap in November. The site will run as a bar and butcher's by day before serving an (unsurprisingly) meat-led menu in the evening.

London restaurant introduces £1k 'golden hello' to tackle 'toxic' chef shortage

Gauthier Soho is offering a £1,000 bonus to new recruits plus access to a research and development budget of around £37,000 a year in a bid to counter the ongoing shortage of staff in the hospitality industry.

The online ordering service has raised £284m in new funding to open more delivery-only 'dark kitchens' across the UK. Deliveroo will also use the investment to develop articial intelligence technology and improve real-time tracking of orders.
