Caprice Holdings to open Harry's Dolci in Knightsbridge in December
Caprice Holdings has revealed details of its latest concept Harry’s Dolci, the first site of which will open on 6 December in London’s Knightsbridge.

Opening on the former Café Rouge site in Basil Street, the company says that Harry’s Dolci will open its doors from dawn till late - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with “every Italian delizia you can imagine in between”.

It will also feature a “mixture of legendary Italian charm, delicious unfussy food, refreshing drinks, stylish decor and some good old fashioned fun”.

“Reminiscent of 1950s and 1960s Italy, its natural elegance and impeccable heritage will offset high octane Italian energy and enthusiasm,” says Caprice.

“A mixture of legendary Italian charm, delicious unfussy food, refreshing drinks, stylish decor and some good old fashioned fun, Harry’s Dolci will open its doors from dawn till late - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with every Italian delizia you can imagine in between.

“Dinner will be a very relaxed and social affair. Seasonal Italian ingredients pepper the food and drinks menus and this versatile kitchen will turn its hand to Italian favourites in every section: aperitivi, antipasti, pizze, paste e risotti, pesce e carne, contorni, dolci (pasticceria, gelato sundaes, bevande, shaved ice granita); and last but not least, the drinks list.

“Colourful Murano glass, silky Fortuny fabrics, vintage brass fixtures and rich tanned leather bar stools, chairs and banquettes will give the room a refined yet vibrant look. Floors will be reminiscent of Venice’s ubiquitous striped gondola mooring posts. Photos and artwork on the walls will celebrate la dolce vita. Delicate table lamps will cast a soft light into the room.”

Caring, who recently acquired the former Grain Store site in London’s King’s Cross, is understood to have acquired the site currently housing La Tasca on James Street, for his new Harry’s Bar Restaurant concept.

It is thought that Caring is looking for Harry’s to be another rollout vehicle but is also looking at the possibility of opening other concepts derived from his existing restaurants.
