The Speciality & Fine Food Fair has undergone a revamp and now includes within it the Speciality Chocolate Fair. In addition to the thousands of artisan and speciality products on show, a demonstration kitchen and workshops will share practical tips on industry trends and innovations.
Visitors can seek expert advice and collaborative wisdom in the business forum, renamed Scale Up for 2017. Topics under discussion this year will include the future of food-to-go, edible insects, and mastering the art of cheese.
Nearly 200 suppliers will make their debut at September’s show, bringing a “range of undiscovered and exciting products to market”. This year, the event’s organisers have curated exhibitors to ensure only the very best produce makes the cut.
Live demonstrations will take place each day in Savour the Flavour: Live Kitchen to help businesses drum up customers and increase profits. Former executive head chef at Ugo Food Group Steve Walpole is returning to host the event.
He will be accompanied by guests including celebrity chef Rachel Green, food judge Nick Crosley, and high profile patissier Will Torrent who will take to the stage to showcase their talents and inspire attendees.
Food for Thought seminar guest speakers are set to include Laurra Davis of Brilliant Social Media advising on how to grow brand awareness online. World of Zing’s Pritesh Modi will speak about the future of spices in restaurants, and consultant Claire Brumby will give a talk on the key to business success.
Exhibitors include Brindisa Spanish Foods, Cotswold Fair, New York Delhi, Rossi Ice Cream, The Pea Green Boat and Warner Edwards.
The Discovery Zone is another new feature for 2017, a space for younger businesses that have been on the scene less than three years to showcase products. Exhibitors include Black Saffron, Pure Maple and the Veggie Plot.
“Fine Food Fair has been at the forefront of the UK’s gourmet food and drink industry for nearly 18 years. Buyers from retail, foodservice and wholesale rely on the Fair as it provides an exclusive opportunity for discovery and inspiration,” says event manager Kara Bowen.
“It is not just the line-up of producers that is eclectic and exciting at Speciality & Fine Food Fair, our line-up of speakers and experts is too. Passionate about the food and drink industry, their insight and expertise on a raft of subjects is second to none.”
