Burger Theory chooses Bristol for first standalone restaurant

Rory Perriment, Oliver Thorogood and Nicolas Makin will open their first standalone Burger Theory later this week in central Bristol.

The trio - who started out running pop-ups in the city and at festivals - currently operate a Burger Theory within craft beer and arcade machine venue Kongs of Cardiff.

Burger Theory sources its produce from the South West with 100% British Red Tractor certified meat from farms close to Devizes; fresh bread from The Proper Bread Bakery in Bristol; and dairy products from Wiltshire’s Ashton Farms.

Burgers inlcude The KFC (Korean fried chicken, spring onions and salted peanuts), The beefy Boy (beer braised beef rib in a black pepper glaze on hash brown with pickled onions and mustard mayonaise) and The Kimcheese (beef and bacon patty with melted cheddar, kimchi, pulled beef and chipotle mayonnaise).

The business also offers a range of vegetarian and vegan burgers.

On St Stephen’s Street, the new site has been fully refurbished and will create eight jobs. NatWest provided a £74,500 funding package.
