- Vico, the Italian restaurant launched by Bocca di Lupo founders Jacob Kenedy and Victor Hugo in London's Cambridge Circus, has closed after just two years of trading. - Will Holland has been appointed executive chef at The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey, starting in October this year. It comes days after the chef announced he was stepping down from Coast, his two-AA-rosette restaurant in Pembrokeshire.
- London restaurant Stoke House has revamped its menu and service style just two months after opening following a less-than complimentary review in The Guardian. The restaurant said change was 'no bad thing' after critic Marina O'Loughlin wrote that the self-service system made her feel like she had 'regressed decades'.
- Brasserie Bar Co, the restaurant and pub group run in partnership with chef Raymond Blanc, is to open 24 sites over the next five years after securing £20m funding from Oaknorth bank.
