RIGO' will offer modern Italian fine dining with dishes inspired by the chef’s global career when it launches in July.
Luzarraga started out cooking under Alain Ducasse at three-michelin-starred Louis XV in Monaco before winning a Michelin star at Italy’s Le Clivie in 2004 and Kuchlmasterei Projet in Austria in 2016.
He has also cooked at Stern in Ekaterinburg in Russa and at Walter Eynard’s restaurant in Torino, Italy.
“RIGO' will be a culmination of those experiences – my journey on a plate,” says Luzarraga.
Described as a ‘kitchen without borders’, the London restaurant will open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Saturday.
The six-course Signature Menu (£78pp) will include sea urchin with bagna cauda, quail egg and fermented milk; spaghettoni dei fiori; and monkfish with lime, capers, courgette and cucumber.
There will also be a four-course a la carte menu (£56pp) and a more informal lunch offering (£22/£28pp).
RIGO' will be spread across three rooms and feature an open kitchen, black and white marble columns and a six-cover outdoor kitchen.
Luzarraga is teaming up with lawyer turned restaurateur Francesco Ferretti for the project, while sommelier and general manager Federico Dadone, previously of Le Gavroche and The Lanesborough, will oversee the front-of-house team and create his own signature cocktails.
