Chef Will Holland to leave Coast
Will Holland is to step down as head chef of Coast in Pembrokeshire later this year.

The chef will leave his role in October, over three years after he opened the Saundersfoot restaurant with owners Neil and Zoe Kedward.

During his tenure Holland, who won a Michelin star at Ludlow’s La Becasse in his twenties, has seen the restaurant awarded two AA rosettes and named AA Restaurant of the Year in Wales 2015-16.

Coast is also recommended in the Michelin Guide, but does not hold a Star or Bib Gourmand.

Holland is yet to confirm his future plans but is set to compete in the National Chef of the Year 2018 final in October.

“I've enjoyed the last three and a half years heading up Coast Restaurant immensely and it was a huge decision for me and my wife to move on,” says Holland.

“It was a massive challenge setting up the restaurant and starting it from scratch but one I enjoyed every moment of.  I'll take all my experiences with me. I wish everyone involved with Coast Restaurant the very best for the future.”

The Seren Collection, which owns Coast, is now searching for new chef to head up the kitchen.

It is planning further investment in the restaurant throughout this autumn and winter, which it says will give the new head chef the chance ‘reinvent’ the offering.
