Borough Market restaurants praise actions of staff
The market and surrounding area are shut until further notice as police continue their investigation in to the incident in which seven people were killed and 48 injured.
Many of the businesses in the market have paid tribute to the actions of staff, customers and police and vowed to re-open as soon as possible.
Witnesses described diners throwing glasses and chairs at attackers and staff barring the doors to prevent terrorists entering.
People took refuge in Borough Market seafood restaurant Fish!, while a Romanian chef at Bread Ahead hit one of the terrorists with a crate and sheltered 20 people inside the bakery, the Associated Press has reported.

Donald Hyslop, chair of Borough Market trustees, paid tribute to those affected by the 'senseless' violence.
"Borough Market is in the heart of a strong, diverse and creative community, a community that supports each other and will pull together to show solidarity in the face of this callous attack," said Hyslop.
"We would like to thank the emergency services for their bravery and quick response. We continue to work with the Metropolitan police with their investigations and the market and surrounding area remains closed at this time.”
Richard Angell, who was evacuated from Arabica Bar & Kitchen, has pledged to return to the restaurant to pay his bill and tip staff once the area re-opens.
He told Buzzfeed News: "I've got to pay my bill. Also, we haven't given the staff a tip and they looked out for us when they should have been helping themselves. It was lovely food and I want the rest of my main course."
Many on social media have pledged to return to the market over the coming days.
