The cult chain will launch its first store in early May, before rolling out to other UK cities later this year.
It is the first European agreement of its kind for the company, which serves over five million Canadians - approximately 15% of the population - every day.
The UK stores will offer coffees, baked goods, breakfast and lunch options and the brand's signature Timbit bite-sized doughnuts.
Tim Hortons' coffee and doughnuts were available at self-service counters at Spar stores in the UK in the mid to late-2000’s, but the Glasgow opening will be its first full-service restaurant in the country.
The chain has also popped-up as a stall in Trafalgar Square on Canada Day.
“We’ve witnessed Tim Hortons’ phenomenal success in Canada, and wanted to replicate this in Great Britain,” says Gurprit Dhaliwal, COO of Tim Hortons UK and Ireland LTD.
“It’s hard to explain just how important Tim Hortons is to Canadians – it’s not just a restaurant, it’s a way of life and a place of ‘home’, and we’re positive Great Britain will fall in love the brand.”
Hockey player Tim Horton founded the eponymous chain in 1964, and the company now operates 4,700 sites in Canada, the United States and the Middle East.
The group merged with Burger King to form Restaurant Brands International in 2014.
