The hotel’s owner Frogmore is believed to have entered in to a deal with Hong Kong-listed investor Tian An China for a reported £67m.
D&D will continue to operate the City of London hotel under its new ownership.
The 80-room site opened in 2012 and is home to the Michelin-starred Angler restaurant, three bars, and the South Place Chop House.
South Place is situated between Moorgate and Liverpool Street and features interiors designed by Sir Terence Conran, who sold his stake in D&D in 2006.
D&D operates 35 restaurants in London, Leeds, Paris, Tokyo and New York.
The group is also set to launch a ‘game-changing’ Manchester restaurant at the 1 Spinningfields development later this year.
CBRE Hotels advised on the deal.
