Kimchee finally opens second London restaurant
It comes six years after the group launched its debut High Holborn site in 2011.
Kimchee Pancras Square opens six days a week and serves a traditional Korean menu cooked in an open kitchen over a charcoal grill. Dishes include Kimchee fried rice with bacon, egg and chorizo; and jjam bbong – a spicy seafood noodle soup with vegetables.
The restaurant seats 100 covers on its ground floor and 70 covers in the basement area, which includes private dining areas where meat and fish are cooked over a barbecue in the centre of the table.
“The Pancras Square site provides an ideal location for our second Kimchee restaurant; a vibrant, busy area of new urban re-development in King’s Cross,” says Frederic Lluch, operations director of Kimchee.
“We hope that the Kimchee concept enhances the square’s offering and provides locals with a unique and exciting dining experience.”
The group also operates two Kimchee To Go takeaway sites in central London.
