15 Michelin stars in the line-up for Who’s Cooking Dinner? 2017 charity dinner

A brigade of 20 chefs including Tom Kerridge, Isaac McHale, Hélène Darroze, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Angela Hartnett, Adam Byatt and Nuno Mendes, is to cook at this year’s Who’s Cooking Dinner? charity event in March.

Held at London’s Four Seasons Park Lane hotel, the annual event is now in its 18th year.

The line up for the 200-cover service will also include Ruth Rogers, Adam Byatt, José Pizarro, Bjoern Weissgerber, James Lowe, Francesco Mazzei, Brett Graham, Mark Hix, Rainer Becker, Neil Borthwick, Giorgio Locatelli, Tim Hughes, Hideki Hiwatashi and Tong Chee Hwee.

A random draw upon arrival assigns each chef to a different table. Each then cooks a separate menu served alongside a wine flight created by the sommeliers of each chef’s corresponding restaurant.

There is also an auction, with prizes including the chefs coming to cook in the winner’s home.

Who’s Cooking Dinner? was founded in 1998 by New Zealander chef Peter Gordon ‒  who runs Marylebone’s The Providores and Tapa Room ‒ after his sister was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in 1994, and restaurateur Chris Corbin, who was diagnosed with the chronic form of leukaemia soon after. Both have since made a full recovery.

It has so far raised £5,224,790 to help support research and treatments into leukaemia and blood cancer.

“[This] is a celebration of what can be achieved when an industry comes together to make a difference,” says Gordon.

“For one night only, a team of the best chefs in the UK will delight a single room with unforgettable menus. There is real camaraderie in the kitchen but there’s also intense heat – these chefs are out to impress.”
