Kew Green Hotels plans UK expansion
The firm, which operates over 50 UK properties and manages sites including The Grand in Brighton, was acquired by HK CTS Metropark Hotels in August 2015.
In the past year the company has launched the first Kew Green-branded hotel in Hong Kong, and staff from the UK and China have taken part in an exchange programme ahead of plans to expand in both countries in 2017.
Kew Green is also set to open a new concept restaurant at the Crowne Plaza John Lennon Airport hotel in Liverpool – the city with the highest Chinese population in the UK outside London.
Alex Pritchard, CEO at Kew Green Group, said: “2016 was a great year for Kew Green, we launched our brand new visual entity, saw the opening of the first Kew Green Hotel in China, [and] executed a huge refurbishment program across a number of our sites...I’m excited to see what 2017 has in store for us as we expand further in the UK, Europe and China.”
Kew Green Hotels was launched in 2001 and now has over 50 sites in major UK cities including London, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham.
The majority of the group’s properties are run under franchise agreement with brands including Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Hampton by Hilton.
