The 120-cover restaurant, the creation of executive chef Gareth Sanderson, is set to open within the Commander building on Hereford Road.
Sanderson, who worked at The Thomas Lord in Hampshire before working in restaurants in Lithuania, travelled America's West Coast for inspiration for the concept.
"In my mind the food scene currently emerging on the West Coast of the US is one of most innovative in the world and thus influencing many of the trends that are coming through at the moment. It is my desire to bring this food style to London, one of the greatest cities on the planet," he said.
The restaurant's all-day menu includes sweet potato toast with avocado, labneh, lime and cilantro gremolata, house pastrami cured gravadlax bagels with herbed cream cheese and steak tartar with shredded kimchi and lardo toast. Desserts include caramel croissant and prune pie with crème Anglais.
The site, which has been designed by Sundae Design Studio with a look inspired by David Hockey's 1970s Malibu period, also includes an American bar, which will be run by bartender Kestutis Stirba.
