CitySuites to launch flagship Manchester site
A new accommodation brand designed to bridge the gap between hotels and serviced apartments is set to launch its first building in Manchester in 2017.

CitySuites claims it will ‘revolutionise’ the market for business travellers by offering luxury apartments with facilities including an on-site pool, gym and valet parking.

The group’s debut 17-storey site will include 244 studios, one and two-bed apartments located on Manchester’s Chapel Street in the Greengate regeneration area.

Guests will be able to stay for as little as a week or up to 12 months.

Gavin Bailey, CitySuites operations director, said: “We provide the high quality and customer service of a hotel with the space of a serviced apartment. This combination, along with flexible tenancies simply doesn’t exist in Manchester today and will revolutionise business stays in the city.”

New openings

The development is the latest in a boom of hotel and restaurant operators opening in Manchester in the next few years.

London-based boutique hoteliers The Zetter Group are planning to launch their first venue in the city, while former footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have unveiled plans to build a multi-million-pound hotel, restaurant and housing scheme in central Manchester.

According to a Savills report, the number of upmarket and casual dining restaurants in the city has doubled in the past five years.

Bailey said: “Manchester is the name on the lips of millions of domestic and international business travellers and we believe CitySuites will provide city-centre visitors with an unrivalled new place to call home.”

CitySuites is part of the North West-based Select Property Group, a global development brand.
