Frontier Pubs opens first site in London

Frontier Pubs, the joint venture between Enterprise Inns and London gastropub operator Food & Fuel, has opened its first site in the capital.

The group launched The Chandos in Honor Oak Park on 7 September following a £350,000 investment.

Designed as a ‘community hub’ for locals, the pub focuses on craft beer and serves freshly made pizzas.

It is the first of three Frontier Pubs sites set to open in London by the end of this year.

Peter Myers, commercial director for Food & Fuel, said: “We’re very excited to be opening our first Frontier Pubs venue. The Chandos has huge potential as it’s in a great area which isn’t particularly well served by pubs with the offer we have created.”

Enterprise Inns currently has five managed investment projects, including the five-strong Hippo Inns brand run in partnership Geronimo Inns founder Rupert Clevely.

Food & Fuel was created by Cafe Rouge co-founder Karen Jones, Jo Cumming and Peter Myers in 2006.

It currently runs 12 pubs and cafes across London.
