Charter Brands, which distills Langley’s in Oldbury, near Birmingham, will launch the currently un-named venue in the city’s Great Western Arcade.
The bar will offer premium spirits, wines and beers and feature an upstairs events space.
It looks set to capitalise on a ongoing boom in the popularity of gin in restaurants and pubs, with sales across the hospitality industry expected to exceed £1bn in 2017.
Mark Dawkins, director at Charter Brands, said: “The buzz around gin shows no sign of abating and consumers’ thirst to learn more about the history of the product, coupled with the growth of experiential events, makes this the right time for us to do this.
“It will be a celebration of British quality and tradition with, of course, a big emphasis on gin. We’ve got some exciting plans and can’t wait to welcome guests through the doors.”
The bar is the latest in a string of new openings in Birmingham, joining Tom Aikens, Des McDonald, steakhouse brand Viva Brazil, and Whitbread’s new Bar & Block brand.
Ahead of the launch Langley’s will be running a pop-up bar at Birmingham Cocktail Weekend in the Great Western Arcade from 15-17 July.
The distillers previously ran the Langleys Yard bar above The Crown & Shuttle pub on London’s Liverpool Street for seven months in 2014-15.
