The pub firm has partnered with online delivery service Just Eat to launch the ordering service.
A selection of Punch venues across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire will take part in the trial, with all crockery, cutlery and condiments provided in-house.
As part of the partnership two Punch sites in Yorkshire that already serve food will also begin offering home delivery of their best pub grub to local customers.
Steve Kite, catering development manager for Punch Taverns, said: “For those who do not currently have a food offering, [this partnership] has the potential to drive new footfall as well as increase trade from existing customers in wet-led pubs as drinkers can now become diners.”
According to Euromonitor International sales of takeaway pizza, curry and Chinese food are expected to grow by 28 per cent over the next decade to reach £7.6bn a year.
Angela Shortland from the Midland Hotel in Stapleford, which is trialling the scheme, said: “This is a fantastic initiative which caters for us as we don’t have the cooking facilities you would expect from a bigger pub.
"However, we now can compete by also offering a seven-day-a-week food service which we hope to see boost our drinks sales.”
